Statement
December 2020
I began my career working in the IT and software industry after gaining a degree in electronic and electrical engineering and a postgraduate qualification in business information technology. However, over the last 15 years I have worked mainly in education, welfare to work, recruitment, and self-employed business management consultancy supporting businesses in work and community related projects to obtaining Merlin standard accreditation. I champion volunteering in the community and have been engaged in some form of voluntary role for 10 years, including being a school governor and member of Croydon Council’s stronger communities partnership board. Outside work and volunteering, I enjoy listening and reading up on current affairs and occasionally writing non-fiction and motivational articles. This is in addition to supporting my two boys in their Sunday league football matches.
