Family Centres in Reigate and Banstead
Family Centres offer one-to-one family support to meet the needs of local families and children. By using a model of individual packages of care, these centres provide specialist support for vulnerable families wherever that best suits them – whether that is at home, in local community venues or at the centre itself. This is a great way for families to get advice about day-to-day issues as these centres offer courses on parenting and provide workshops on issues such as keeping your family safe. The Centres also run specific programmes for children who have been exposed to domestic violence, as well as offering individualised support for children with additional needs. Family centres have a wide range of support for parents and children to ensure better parenting and better outcomes for children.
These centres aim to prevent family circumstances from having a significant impact on the health, development and general well-being of children. There are four family centres in the borough of Reigate and Banstead, and you can contact them to find out what services they offer or check the information on their websites.

The services that Family Centres in Reigate and Banstead are offering comes as part of the change to the way that Surrey County Council supports families. The new approach looks at focusing resources on helping the families most in need of support, rather than providing universal services for all families. For information on universal services and other support groups you can use the Surrey Family Information Directory.
