About Us
Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead we are a local Charity
We help everyone, whatever your problem, find a way forward
We aim to:
Provide the advice people need for the problems they face.
To improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.
To bring about positive changes to people’s lives.
We value diversity, promote equality, challenge discrimination and we support some of the most vulnerable in society. We use the information we gather to campaign for social justice, so that individuals do not suffer through a lack of knowledge or an inability to express themselves effectively.
We operate from two offices, in Redhill and Banstead, and outreach centres across Reigate and Banstead. We offer a 5 days-a-week telephone advice service.
Our Strategic Priorities for the future
We will seek to achieve our aims and support the development of how we work by focussing on the following 5 strategic priorities
- Change – manage change to adapt and improve our service delivery model to react to changes in the external environment and the needs of our clients
- Resources – achieve long term financial sustainability through diversification of income streams and seeking to collaborate where possible
- Impact – tell people who we are and what we do whilst growing the number of partners we work alongside to develop our services.
- Good Governance – ensure we are compliant and maximise external support to deliver an efficient service
- People – Ensure we have a motivated workforce that is adequately rewarded and recognised
We help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers. With the growth of economic and other difficulties, we provide a front-line service for everyone in the local community and particularly those in greatest need.
The benefits of our work are not limited to improving our clients’ financial situation but also contribute to improving their health and well being, reducing their stress and improving their confidence in dealing with their own problems.
Our funding
Citizens Advice Reigate & Banstead is an independent local charity.
We depend on local funding from local authorities, local charitable trusts, local businesses and private donations. Our highly trained volunteer force, who give their time to help local people, enable us to keep our overheads to an absolute minimum.
- Donations help us to continue providing free independent advice and to develop our services in line with local needs.
- Donating online is a safe and easy way to help us to keep our vital work going.
